OUR STORY

SwimWest offers a proven approach to water safety. We have set the standard for swim education for baby swim lessons and toddler swim lessons to adults with a progressive curriculum that grows as they learn.

    IT STARTED WITH A GOAL

    Founder, Karen Kittelson Clay, launched a learn-to-swim school, SwimWest Swim School, Inc, in 1990. Her approach centers strongly around water safety and her love for children.

    Swimming Lessons: Where safety meets skill in the water. Through our fun and nurturing environment, your child will learn the technical skills of swimming while preparing themselves for real-life water safety situations.

    OUR STORY CONTINUES

    In 2022 SwimWest Swim School was acquired by Emler Swim School. Where Fun and Learning Swim Together! Your child will not only learn to swim in a safe and encouraging environment but have a great time doing it. At Emler, we recognize that learning to swim is more than just a competence; it’s a lifelong skill and an essential part of a child’s development. We take that responsibility seriously and are dedicated to making it one of their fondest memories.
